The keys that you drive with a socket handle are stronger because there is no bend. Try one of those. Or do a few changes of the pan oil only.

I went to Sears and bought the metric 3/8 drive allen socket set, would never have gotten my starter off without it.I would bite the bullet and buy the Sears set, Good Luck Johnny

sadly im off to autozone..... turning the engine over via crank bolt is easy.. but frustrating when you move your hand and the socket falls off the bolt

I agree with the use of a socket driven hex bit.

But, a little bit of heat usually works wonders. I took the propane torch to a threaded boss on the throttle body of the van to loosen a small adjustment screw that has never been moved since the van was built in 1989. It was driven by a Torx driver and I'm sure I would have stripped it without heat.

I'm surprised that AZ didn't have one. But Sears probably sells a (slightly) better one anyway. Here's to hoping that it now comes out.

plastic containers... its still made by a company in tampa... the pan is drying after i washed it... i think i have a few fireant bites...the tranny is dripping any fluid thats left into a catch pan...

i add 4 quarts once everything is sealed up right.. turn the car on shift through the gears, put it back in park.. check the level then add 2 more wuarts to bring it back to spec?

also.. be prepared to get fluid all over you.. sure wear gloves if you want but i cant feel anything with gloves on... the smell of tranny fluid reminds me of a garage we used to take my dads freightliner to...
