HELP! Need to find a shop in Des Moines
My friend is on his way to California right now in his '94 e320 and his transmission is failing.
He pulled into a rest area and when he went to leave the car backed out of the parking spot but would not move forward. He tried to put it in reverse again and then it wouldn't even move backwards. There is a small amount of ATF under the car and the dipstick is only reading a little low. Before he left town a local shop told him there was a leak in the engine/transmission area, I guess it was the transmission. So finally to my question... does anyone know of a shop that could handle this repair in the Des Moines, IA area on short notice? He's trying to get to Cali by Sunday.

I just happen to remember somebody going to an indy in Des moines, driving a considerable distance for transmission work. See post #23, mabee you can ask the writer for details. Hope its not too late.
It's CRITICAL... how you set your transmission's vacuum system on your diesel MBZ... |
