I paid too much for mine eighteen months ago before the oil crisis unfolded. Whoever buys such a vehicle must also budget for all the vexxing problems that crop up with these cars: leaking fuel lines, questions of rust; kaputte fan clutches; generally cheapo plastic bits that break and shatter at strange times. This said, I am fond of mine, indeed, and it is working its way into my heart as did its W123 240D predecessor. My air conditioner shrugged off the inferno recently had in California.

Honestly,the worse decision in my car history was selling our two 1999 E300 TD's and 95 E300 Spec.Edition.I couldve kept all three cars,and actually could have kept it and it would have been worth it.All three cars were minty's and fully loaded.Really miss those cars!
