Engine Vibration & Oil Leak - 300D

Am looking at an 84 300D that the seller says may need new engine vibration mounts cuz it shakes more than it should. Haven't seen da car yet but any thoughts about this (at what mileage does this usually show up, ease of replacing, etc).

Also, I have seen some of these engines leaking oil from the front around the area of the engine where the main fan is connected to. Is this simply due to a bad gasket, or could it be anything more major?

Thanks

Vibration can be from several things:
Engine Mounts
Valve Adjustment
Fuel rack dampner screw

If it is engine mounts, they are very visible and take very little time to replace.

Really a thorough cleaning is the only way to tell. Front seal is one possibility. Oil cooler lines, power steering pump, and vacuum pump gasket are others. Sometimes after cleaning, you get real lucky and it never shows up again.
