what should i pay for this W123

slow, no pick up 1985 300 turbodiesel, 226000 miles, black on black mb tex, good interior, few blemishes on exterior but very presentable, needs new tires all around, chrome chips a little on the wheels, 3 rustspots on bottom (small and repairable), waterpump seems to leak coolant, broken windshield, windowwipergearbox broken, vacuumpump works but has black oil around bolts (car shuts off fine) exhaust manifold leaks, normal blowby for the amount of miles, oily around injectors, accelerator rubber (firewall) brittle, glowpluglight doesn't come on (car starts right up when cold though), usual window issues, air not cold but works, filled with '12b'??, the car smokes when idling. not extremely, just a little too much. engine doesn't rock, but nails a little. it doesn't drip oil. one more thing; it has either a black prefilter if these exist, or the diesel that runs through it is black>
it has a sunroof and looks nice for the age.
thanks for reading

The no power problem is probably due to a clogged spin on fuel filter. I had the same thing when I bought a 300SD, changed the filter and it ran great. It seems like a lot of MB diesel owners aren't even aware that that thing filters their fuel, let alone that it needs changed every few hundred thousand miles!

Could also be a clogged banjo bolt.

No turbo....slow!

I'd agree on this price range. Windshield will cost,
AC will certainly cost, rust, etc......

if I was at an auction as a dealer I'd pay not more than $800. the man that offers this benz is actually a dealer and when i told him $800 he said that's what he would pay
too much of a project for me. the slowness I'm not worried about, all the other 'little' things hold me back.
