An SDL as nature intended

White over gray. Only H'guy's velour and manual AC could make me happier.

I never liked the white.

Just too big a vehicle for all that expanse of white.

Blue over Palomino for me............. The '87 has it.

I've seen blue over parchment, blue over blue and very rarely blue over gray. I've seen navy over palomino in 124s and maybe an SD or 2. Must be really rare in SDLs.

You may be correct.......it might be blue over parchment. The '86 has a richer color which I presume to be Palomino.........the '87 has a more faded look.........probably the parchment. I'd have preferred the Palomino.........but nothing that some dye can't fix...........

Ok, everybody with and SDL that's regularly getting 28MPG raise your hand.
I'm working real hard trying to get 24. EPA rates the car at 22 city 23 highway I think. Maybe I could do better on the flatlands at 55 with the windows up and the cruise control on. Still, I'm not giving up yet. And for the record, I agree, SELs and SDLs should be dark colors.

I'd really like to have a black on black, but I love my black on maroon.

I did just find a blue on blue one in town.

A blue on blue SDL beside me at a light today took off and left me in the dust. No smoke, just speed. Mind you I wasn't racing or even trying to keep up. It dawned on me after a few seconds that he was a speck in the distance by the time I got to 40.

Would i be seeing more then 28-29mpg's in my W124 300D. Since they have the same engine and all. But the W124 is much lighter then the SDL, especially since the SDL is a bit longer then the SD to make space for the reclining rear seats.

I havent done a MPG calculation since im running on veggie 90% of the time, but it would be good to know im in the 30's.
