Thumbs up '87 603 wagon people, need pics please

Can anyone provide me with pictures of the SLS pump and tank on this 603? Is the pump the PS one or an independent pump such as a 560?

Thanks for the help

All the '87 S124 models use a tandem PS/SLS pump (=$$$). AFAIK, all the later diesel models w/SLS use the tandem, rather than the older-style S123/W201 2.3 16v separate pumps.

Ah. Do you have any pictures of how this is setup? Do you just use regular PS oil in there?

There is a specific hydraulic fluid for SLS. I don't know the specs but I'm pretty sure it's green. Might be the same stuff used in Citroens.

Febi/Bilstein makes it for Mercedes. The part number is 000-989-91-03 and it comes in 1 liter blue plastic bottles.

Sorry to hijack a little but speedy300Dturbo what did you use to make the hoses (like your radiator hose) shiny like that? Ive tried many products but they all evaporate from the heat, even veggie oil

Isn't Pentosin a name brand? They make brake fluid too.

Could be. My SLS doesn't work on the BMWs either.
