Problems for early 90's 300Es include wire harness and head gasket..at least,that's what I've seen a number of times on this forum.I'm looking to check out a local '92 300D and am wondering if those two problems are the same in the diesels.Is it just the gas version or both?? Any other problem areas in the 300D,2.5?? Thanks for your help!

A few of the 1993 300D 2.5's had wiring issues but only a few..you can tell by flaking insulation.. Also if the engine ever overheats the head gasket WILL become a issue. Saw a 1990 the other DAY with 600,000 mile on the original OWNER! he suggested that the head had never been off...
