Don`t buy the 50/50 mix. why buy 2 quarts of water? unless you are buying it for the convience. also don`t know it the water is distilled or just hose water.

I bought one at OSH last summer. didn`t realize it was 50/50 mix.
I usually buy the concentrate and mix my own in a 2 1/2 gallon container.

Charlie---------- I just read this, they do use distilled water

Overview
Zerex® G-05 is the original full chemistry in newer Ford & Daimler Chrysler vehicles. Its Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT) chemistry combines the best of conventional and organic acid-based chemistry to provide the ultimate protection against rust and corrosion.

For convenience and protection, try Zerex® G-05 Ready To Use. Zerex® G-05 Ready To Use combines the excellent temperature and corrosion protection of Zerex® G-05 with de- mineralized water to help reduce the risk of cooling system deposits. The 50/50 mixture provides protection down to -34°F.

How It Works: Zerex G-05 antifreeze/coolant uses the highest quality virgin ethylene glycol for freeze and boilover protection and a hybrid organic acid corrosion inhibitor package to protect your engines from liner pitting and corrosion.

Green Stuff???

The main reason you use the clear stuff is for a 10 degree F cooler engine. Mine was running a little hot until Pierre changed it out during maintenance. That's why you are supposed to use the OEM recommended, rather than the green.

Green happens to be back in my car until I can afford to change it, . . . only because the mechanic who replaced the radiator during minus 30 weather got the wrong stuff . . . (well, it was in the middle of Minnesota in winter). Phil had the new radiator there the next day, and I didn't even inquire if there was an MBZ mechanic in that town. As it was, the locals were coming out to see the car, as it was an oddity there. the local car wash offered me a free wash and wax cause they wanted to see what a real MBZ looked like cleaned up . . . LOL . ..I kid you not!!!

But the engine does run cooler with the recommended coolant.

The primary reason to use the recommended coolant is the improved effectiveness and added longevity of the anticorrosion chemistry. Either way, the "coolant" is the same - ethylene glycol.

It's got a ford label, but just like going to the mercedes dealer it's the same thing in a different bottle. Same yellow color.

My NAPA would not order in less than a case, so I passed. Finally found it at Andersens in Columbus, Ohio, but it was the 50/50. Bought it anyway.
