Can the instrument cluster cause your A/c not to work? the cluster was once replaced.

I am not sure that the instrument cluster would have an effect on that.Are the pushbuttons working correctly on your dash? My instrument cluster was replaced as were the AC unit control button unit because they worked erratically.Sometimes I would have to push the buttons 3-4 times to get the unit to turn on or off.

Thanks for the reply Warren, found out today that a control module went bad and it has my A/c compressor and instrument cluster on that module. another $800 repair bill!!!

Well $800 does not sound bad for a push button unit(if thats what you meant)...I think the cost to replace mine was $1400.00(warranty) at an MB dealer.
My instrument cluster was replaced before I bought the vehicle. I was told the original owner paid half and MB paid half......good luck Warren 1992 300SD 113K Columbus Ohio turner@greif.com
