85 SD how to tell engine type

I am going to be looking at an 85 SD and want
to know how to tell if it has the 81-85 engine
that is so popular with the biodiesel folks, as I
plan to use bio in it.

All SD's from 81-85 have the five cylinder OM617 engine. There is no other engine available for this vehicle.
