torque requirements
Does anyone know off hand what the torque is for the hex bolts that hold the front hubs to the hat rotors on an 80's model 240D, and , also, the torque for that bolt in the center of the rear wheel hub when you have the tire & wheel off. Thanks

Is the ole german way similar to the "tight as you can... ...plus half a turn"?

torque
The 115 nm on the front hubs would be 115x.74=85.1 ft./lbs. Which would seem right to me cause there were very, very tight coming loose. The 30 nm on the rear axle would be 30x.74=22.2 ft./lbs. That sounds good to me cause that bolt is small...don't even want to twist that guy off!! Thanks for the help...much appreciated.

Trivia for today. Work is measured in foot-pounds, torque is measured in pound-feet.
