Rear Defroster Switch?

Just checked on my '75 W115. You pull the rear defroster switch out and the light in the middle comes on. The switch returns to the neutral position and the light stays on. If you push the switch in, it turns the defroster off. I think the defroster will also timeout. So it is a relay that provides the HOLD function, not the switch.

k maybe the relay is bad, because the light always goes off when it returns to the neutral position, so i have to hold it, or wedge something between it, for the defroster to stay on

hmmmmmm I reallly love this car, but I've been thinking about this lately, it would rather be better suited for someone who could take better care of it, possibly restore it (more disposible income than I, still in high school, and just workin 30. hrs per week) and need a car that would be easier to take care of. just wondering, how much could i sell this car for????? ill list everything wrong with it

cons
no a/c-no belt, could be nonworking ac, havent checked it since I/ve had it
door lock system doesnt work
headliner loose in the back
driver side window gets stuck halfway

pro's
107,000 miles
shifts good (as good as the old merz gets)
no cracks in dash

stuff ive done
new transmission shifter bushings
cd player

any thoughts would be appreciated. btw i paid 700 for the car (got it from my vocation school)

it might be worth a bit more than you paid for it.

condition is everything on an old car.

is there any rust or body damage?

as you can see from the pics, there are 2 dents in the hood, only rust on the car is slight rust on each side of the front, right above the tires
