Hello all! I just bought my first mercedes (1987 300SDL)!

I'm extremely excited about this car and its pending veggie oil conversion. Its got a sun/moon roof and it can tilt, but it won't slide back...

I figured this would be something I could fix myself to help familiarize me with the car. Is there an assembly guide available online? I know i can buy one, but i'll be damned if i pay 20 bucks for information that should be free:fork_off:

If my CD copier would work, I'd send you the CDs. You can try that Braingears site, but it's iffy at times.

You'll want to manually crank the roof open to remove that headliner part. Clean the slides, then lube them up with some slide paste from MB. Carson357 has this paste on here, shoot him a PM.

Do some homework (if you haven't yet) on certain issues to be aware of and to watch out for.
