Primary Fuel Filter ?
Hi,
I just picked up a new primary fuel filter (inbetween the tank and lift pump). I didn't realize until I got it home that it says, "Not for use with fuel injected engines or fuel systems that exceed 10psi." Am I OK with this this thing: http://tinyurl.com/jgkue or will I exceed the 10psi rating? I'm guessing the worst thing that could happen is that the filter element collapses and stops filtering. Seems like a nice filter... Thanks for any opinions... -Chris- |
I don't think it would be a good idea to use anything, for other than an emergency, that is not designed for diesel fuel since their viscosity is different. Price certainly should not be the issue for the correct one.

Hm...the last primary filters I bought were less than $2.00 each, and they were identical to the originals, and made for diesels.
Any reason why these would be better? |
