I'd be more concerned about a cracked or broken wastegate hose.

Ever check the manifold pressure with the wastegate hose removed? I wonder if the open hose would cause enough losses for the turbo to remain below 15 psi and fail to trigger the overboost valve?

I've never tested this, but I believe the turbo is capable of pushing waaaay more air volume than you'd ever lose through the broken hose. I suspect there would be virtually no difference in performance either way.

.........then the wastegate hose integrity is of far greater concern than a stuck wastegate..........but, the former can certainly result in the latter.........:eek:

Thanks for the replys I knew I didn't have the right terminology when I posted and some one would point me in the right direction. Any way I'll check the valve and see what comes out.:pirate:

How often is everyone cleaning these ALDA pressure lines?

I seem to need to clean them every 3 months otherwise I suffer from no power. The crud is never ending.

I'll probably clean this one in two or three years.

But, remember, I'm starting with a brand new line, and a thoroughly clean manifold, and no EGR.

Might even go more than three years.:P
