No Glow- Need Help

I have an 87 190D Turbo on which the glow system just quit working. I used to get dash light for about a second when I turned the ignition, and then it would go out. I let the plugs heat up for about 15 seconds and then start her up fine. Last week the glow light quit coming on and the car cranks, but won't start.

I ordered one of the Bosch Duratherm Fastglow preglow relays and just installed the new glowplugs that came with it. (PITA-had to pull the intake manifold). Turns out the new relay has one fewer pin on the side that comes from the ignition than the old one did. The extra pin on the original relay is marked "T", and all the rest are the same.

Well, the new relay didn't work. I'm wondering if it is because it isn't compatible with my engine, or if the problem lies elsewhere. Maybe the neutral safe start switch? Something else I'm missing (entirely possible cause I'm a noob)?

Thanks

I did replace the 80A strip fuse too.
