240d transmission fluid

i just used penzoil dexron iii transmission fluid in my 240d. is that a good thing?

For my 115 4-speed manual I like the Redline D4 ATF, a synthetic GL-4 rated gear lube with the weight of ATF, specfically for gearboxes that take ATF.

i had that in my 240D auto for about 300 miles to help flush the system out and then i changed it again to amsoil
