Is this normal? Coolant tank.
I drained my coolant and when I was refilling it, I noticed what almost looks like a rotting rubber ball floating around in there. What the deuce is that? Is it normal? Should I remove it asap??
Thanks, Chris

It can be normal if the heater hoses and upper/lower radiator hoses have not been changed in a while. Most people over look the heater hoses when they replace the upper and lower radiator hoses.
Fish a sample out, and rub it between your fingers. If it becomes a smudge, you may have oil contamination.

Probably a piece of rubber, if not smudging. A system flush and hose change out would be in order.
