I know she is dirty, but here is why:http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...ngaug06011.jpg

Drove to the SOBX with rods on the roof. Did a bit of surf fishing. Bumped into a school of Drum, and caught these all day. This guy was 31 inches. All on light line in maybe 3 feet of water. My arm was sore. Car ran like a champ, now it smells like mullet guts.

Here in Florida that Redfish is too big to keep. 18-27 inches is the slot limit. Dang good eating though.

Same here in NC. He went back in right after the pic. He tried to inhale the (barbless 4-0 circle) hook, so he got a little hemostat lovins and a picture taken. Back in the surf. We did keep our limit tho, one 26 1/2, one right at 27. There was two of us fishing.

nice wheels, you should clean them up and polish the lip and paint the centers a nice bronze color..

I'm jealous of the fish Todd B.!!! Car looks almost as good as when I had it.

Very nice!

Anyone figure out whats the best way to carry rigged 7ft-9ft fly rods on one of these? I think Orivis has magnetic holders, not sure if I trust them.

The ski racks he has work great. That's what I use as well. They're Yakima powder hounds if I remember correctly.

Your car looks way too good, even dirty to foul it with those wheels. That ain't no BMW.......

Hatterasguy 09-24-2006 04:56 PM

What are those wheels old BBS? I think they look very period.

Problem is finding a ski rack for a W126, I think I might know someone who has one actualy...:D

I think they are BBS. I've seen them in the bronze color and they look really ugly to me. The ones pictured look pretty cool though.

Obnoxio 09-25-2006 08:46 AM

I bought them off of Benzcrusher a while back. I dont think they are BBS, maybe Enkei or Ronal. I cant remember. I just wanted some 15" rims, didnt really care what style they were.

Those Yakima powder hounds work great. They are snowboard holders. I carry up to five rods in mine, including a 10ft and 12 ft surfrods with no problems other than bugs at high speed.
