Replaced the right side mount inside the "bearing" and rod end(lca) kit.
Saturday night project. Will do left side next sat. By the way, I did not need a press and I picked up the guide rod mounts fro $58 each.

Identical vibration on my W126 between 65 and 80 solved over the weekend with a set of 4 new tires balanced and installed. The old tires were worn very evenly, so I don't suspect a cupping or wear issue. Out-of-round is a possibility. In any event, it's smooth as silk now.

Guide rod replacement fixed F/E shaking problem.
Completed guide rod replacement(left side). In a nutshell, replacing both guide rod mounts fixed the front end shaking problem.
I borrowed the coil spring compressor tool. Made it possible to replace track rod bushings at lower control arm. Going to "shop" the alignment. Compare prices and expertise-special tool usage ect. Thank you to all fellow diy'ers, techs/ mechs and forum members that took the time to post suggestions and very useful info. Made the work more "trouble free" than it would have been otherwise.
