Is the jack for the W123 exclusive to that chassis? Or can I use a jack from other Mercedes? I noticed that Volkswagen uses an identical jack on some of their older vehicles. Would it be safe to use one on a W123? Thanks for any advice.

If it fits the hole use it
Greetings,
If the jack stub fits your chassis jack hole, use the jack. Seeing as almost all the older Benz's basically weigh quite closely the same, I am sure this jack has been over rated to compensate for an additional 500LBs. plus or minus. I have the same jack you speak of, and it came with the 300TD wagon, and I know it's got a few pounds on your chassis. Charles |

I think you can interchange it. Although the jack for my 123 is diff from my 124 or 201.
I had a MB jack bend and break on me before. They are not that greatly designed. |
