So I was in the G500, wearing a kind of nasty shirt, and got pulled over. Not speeding, not doing anything illegal, just driving down the main street on my way to Niks house. Anyway, the cop came up to the window and told me nice car, and asked if it was stolen..... I was thinking "Are you F'in serious.... I have the key..." I replied politely, "Yes sir....".....

He checked the registration and my ID, and held me there for like 30 minutes, questioning me, "Whos the owner" "Where is it garaged" "Is thie stolen"......

Anyway, after 30 minutes, I finally was let go, no warnings, no tickets, no problems, all just making sure that a 20 year old kid was not stealing a G500...

Wow thats surprising out their, I would think the high school parking lots should look like BMW and MB dealers.

Depends on the school.

I went to a decent high school, and there was a mix of cars.... There were a few Mercs, BMWs, Audis, new Acuras, a few Lexus, new trucks, you name it... My best friend in high school had a Porsche Boxster, and traded it in halfway through junior year for a Porsche Cayman.

But there were also the beaters out there.... Old hondas, toys, dodges, chryslers, etc.

If you went to one of the private high schools, you wouldnt see anything older than 2000 in the lot....

Ditto. Anytime I've been pulled over it's because I've been doing something wrong, and almost every time the officer has been very polite and professional. I usually get off with a warning, too.

I have been pulled over three times, all deserved; one written warning, one verbal, and one ticket. All three of the officers were totaly professional and one let me off with a written warning for 39 in a 25 because I was polite and didn't BS him. He was like I pulled you over for speeding, I said yeah I figured I was going kind of fast.

The ticket was for running a stop sign, which I did run, but I'm still going to fight it. Court date on the 30th. I have an ace up my sleeve, I will most likely beat that ticket.

If I was in my MB I probably would have just gotten a warning.

Yep. When I got my ticket, I had no previous bad driving record, not even a warning... I was as polite as I knew how to be... not even a thought of cutting me a first-ticket-nice-guy break at all.

I've been pulled over for speeding, 37 in a 25....didn't realize I was going that fast. He was nice, I was nice, and he let me off saying "just slow 'er down a bit".

TOTAL BS. I hate that. But all you can do is polite, he was looking for an excuse to write you for something and he could not find one.

He was just trying to SAVE FACE.

Idiots. One time maybe 30 years I got stopped, and he made the stupidest mistake of them all:

He said, "Do you know why I stopped you?'

I got really, really mad and told him straight up

"No, I don't officer. Do YOU?"

Then HE got REALLY mad, called for backup, and another cruiser arrived.

The gave me the field sobriety test, on a windy part of the hill by the Highway, and they said I failed it. Said it was part of their "investigation"

But they had to let me go, because I blew a 0.0 BAC into their machine.

They would have loved to write me up. Maybe even beat me on the head with their stick and then arrested "ME" for resisting.

That kind of thing happens all the time. Then lie afterward to CYA.

A$$ holes

That is because you live in the absolutely WORST state for getting tickets:

Those people are a horror. The harrass EVERYONE they thnk will not challenge them.

Traffic Nazis they are called; they would LOVE to taze you. Just give them any excuse.

It seems to all depend on the cop around here, but the suburban smaller outfits are the worse ones....they are much more likely to be rude or harass...or come up with stupid reasons why they pulled you over.

Yep, my uncle had a place in a little hick town in VT. The local cop told him straight up that he always found a reason to ticket any cars with out of state plates. Their was one stop sign in town and you better damn well stop and count to three if you had any plate on that car other than a VT one.
