Two clips on bottom. Then that's out. Should be two 8mm bolts hold the rest down.

You'll find some money, food, wrappers, maybe a wallet like me

Thumbs up Rear seat removal

Yeah, like Hit Man said.

Push down and then forward and up on bottom part of of seat, pops right out.

Remove two bolts at the sides, push up to release top part of seat back holder/ wire clip. Vacuumed the mess out, found some spare change but no wallet .

After setting seat back part in, before tightening bolts, closed both rear doors and set adjustment of seat back, then tighten bolts.

I took mine out to remove rear deck lid and install new stereo speakers. Why are you removing rear seat? Just curious. I have been wanting to install top mount/back window brake light window in mine.

I installed a late '86+ rear fill into my '85 SD for the third brake light and larger rear speakers. The baskets for the ~6.5" units do not fit as well as I thought in there. The sheet metal had been changed as I found.

I'm considering going back to the earlier rear fill but adapting the third lamp to it, can't be that difficult. Hooking up the extra lamp was a snap... ground it and run the other lead to the harness for the tail lamps. I think it was black with a red tracer to the brake lamp.

Hello to extra safety.
