Pictorial on Master vacuum switch and door panel removal

I just finished up the pictorial on the master vacuum switch and door panel removal.

This is one of those projects that put an smile on my face as it produces instant satisfaction in eliminitating the vacuum leaks.

Enjoy

IMHO: Add setting the regulator stop, cleaning weep holes in the door, a five page tutorial showing all the times I've smashed a hanging, door bottom, light by shuting the door, note to NEVER TAKE A MULTI POSITION SEAT SWITCH APART WITHOUT KNOWING HOW TO CATCH SMALL FLYING PARTS (BTW, a 1/4" length of vacuum line and a 1/8" welding rod fixes broken switch stubs), feel the inner window rails for dings that will eat a new slider.
Great site. Thanks.
What are you taking in school?

Very good description

Nice job, good description on taking off the door panels and trim. I suspect I need to do that job also as my lock system is loosing vacuum. Looking for the part I see there are two master vacuum switches - depending on model. Chassis #036517 or #036516 are the choices. How do you determine the chassis number? I can't seem to find it.

Very nice. I need to start tracking down leaks because I can only operate my locks three times, max, before they won't go anymore.

How long is the vacuum supposed to hold? I think on my 300d the locks work overnite but after two days... nothing!

I'd like to think I am the inspiration for this thread!!

I sent the door lock cylinder to you a few days ago, so you should be receiving it soon if you haven't already.

Your attention to detail and quality make me wish you had a shop closer to me. Now I know where else to start looking if the door lock cylinder doesn't fix my issue. Stand by for another order!!

Thanks alot! I am really glad that the pictorials help you all.

I am doing a window regulator pictorial on how to fix the ground down gears. It is not a very easy repair I am finding out. But hopefully I can make the stupid errors so you fellas dont have to.

Yes and Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pictures explain much more thorougly than any text explaination. Although many try to describe a process it seems there are some details left out and it leaves us hanging.
Your time, patience and photos here with the explainations are greatly appreciated.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
