More events regarding this ride. Traced a wackey radio turning on when door opens issue to the little plug in Diode in the fuse box. $9 fix. Repaired the door lock, and mis-installed door panel. The motor runs very well and has a surprizing amount of power for a diesel. I am glad I have the six now!! Next up will be finding the leak in the ac and addressing that as well as shocks and tires. Front right tire rubs on body over big dips in road. Weak springs?

make sure it has the new style vacuum pump,should have torx head bolts on the front cover,if not do not drive until it's replaced.i've had my 86 sdl for about 3 months now,replaced the vac pump,ign lock assy and tumblers,and a leaky gasket on the bottom of the pump otherwise just been putting down the miles.i love mine i think you'll come to really like your after you get some miles under your belt.
