In a month I covered India north to south and back, total of 9000km in desert at 45C, flooded roads where no other vehicles were plying,maneuvered through bomb crater size potholes which were tipping trucks and tropical humid conditions on Indian roads which tended to be from excellent to nightmare, the OM616 turbo didn't need any top ups for coolant or oil, only an oil change at my regular 6000km. If this ancient engine can do it, I am sure the new would do it easily.

Who gives a crap if they make it? I EXPECT them all to make it. They should, they cost enough! I would be far more interested to see how they look in 15-20years with 200,000 miles on them. That is an acid test... RT
