Non MB but Diesel: ever hear of Energy Cells
Diesel Heads,
A friend of mine has an older Allis Chamlers farm tractor. Screwed in the head on the opposite side of where the injectors are located are things called Energy Cells. The repair manual tells how to service them but not what they are or what they do. Any body know what they are or what they do? P E H |

Yup....
They kinda work like a pre-combustion chamber.......

wow! nice link. the old tractors have their attractions. a lot easier to restore than a car.
that block repair was most impressive. i was surprised to see a wet sleeve on that engine, though. beatiful work. tom w |

That's what I wanted to know. Thanks. Shorebilly, Acting something like is a pre-chamber is what came to mind after I read the description. P E H |
