Heated seats
 

I have a Euro 85 300td with heated seats. I want to use the heated seat circuit for heat in a WVO conversion. What I was thinking is just unplug the the seat and run the wire into the engine bay, where I would hook it up to some nicrome wire that is wrapped around the injector lines. The injector line heaters draw about 8 amps.

Now my question is about the heated seat ciruit. The switch has three positions, high low and off. Any idea what kind of output there is from this switch? would it handle 8 amps? Do the heated seats have two pads in them, and the low setting is one pad and high is both?
