What brand best for rebuild parts?
Trying to choose head gasket, piston rings, cylinder sleeves and bearings.
Choices are elring, goetz, corteco, beck arnley for head gasket. Sealed power, glycol, or goetz for rings. The piston sleeves I bought were Meyle(not mahle) and either sealed power, moog or same german manufacturers. Of course possibly the dealer brand. I need to buy this stuff now, the block is going to the machine shop. Sure would appreciate some advice from this experienced group. I am rebuilding an 85 300d turbo. Use a Elring or Goetze head gasket.. Goetze rings are also OE quality.
Use either Glyco or Kloblenschmidt (KS) bearings.
