Need suggestions on straightening a euro bumper.
So I took my bumper to get straightened this afternoon at lunch. They quoted me around $600.
 . So. Any thoughts on 2x4' and C clamps? The damage is fairly minor on the bumper just twisted a few degrees.

i doubt that the above described method will work very well on a benz bumper. the benz bumper is double curved and i would think would be very tricky to straighten. i think you will be better off to find a good used one.

This is a euro! Its thin sheet metal! Replacement is not far from $400.
So for $20 bucks I got a 2x4 and some clamps. I have it sitting outside all clamped up good as new. I will let it sit for a few days and see what happens. I've read that in order to straighten metal it has to be bent to the exact opposite direction of the bend, we'll see though. I have faith in my redneck heritage.

Well I figure if this doesnt work out I can use the wood supported by bricks clamped around the bumper to bend it a bit in the other direction. I weigh about and I'm sure I can find a stout friends to help.
