190d 4cyl Injector question

I have a 85 190d with the 4cyl diesel engine. I suspect a injector has failed or stuck. Will any other mercedes injectors work or is it specific to this engine. I have 300d non-turbo and turbo injectors laying around and wondered it those would work.

I am also looking for a #2 injection line from a 601, 2 or 3 if any one has that and wants to sell it.

thank you.

What makes you think a injector is stuck? What is the car doing?

Go into the parts sale section of this forum and look up the injector part numbers for your car, then for 240D, and 300D to see if they are the same. If so, then the tubing is probably the same size also for those cars.

Ive put a set of 240d injectors on my 190d 2.2 with no Ill effects, the 300d and sd have a different injector ,the line connections are bigger. This is also a different connection from the pump of coarse. You can look for a 240d for fuel line replacements also but just for the short term ,the lines are usually to short to work from the 240d except on some of the shorter runs and they take alot of work to bend.Dont forget to support the original lines with the clips or youll get leaks soon after from the thin lines at the connections ,It only takes a week or so of driving before it happens ,ask me how I know.

Huh, I should have known the answer to my own question as i tried to thread a 300d injection line onto my 190d injector and it was different. with that i would have known the 300d/sd's wont work.

Find out what cylinder it is, then move that injector to a different cylinder. If problem follows then you know its the injector.
