Question SLS pump

Hi all,

I have a Euro W124 300TD. Being a wagon, it has SLS (self-levelling system). The hydraulic pump for the SLS is not a separate tandem pump like the 300TE but rather a head-mounted pump ala W123 wagons (see link below).

I've searched the net for this pump's part number and I can't find it. Can anyone help me?

Secondly, is this compatible to the hydraulic pumps of the W123 or W126 with SLS (like the pic below; please check out the link too)?

Thanks!

I'm fairly certain its the same on both SD and TD. However it may be different on NA vs turbo head?

Check out the SLS pump on the 86-87 190E 2.3-16 which attaches directly to the cylinder head. p/n = 117 230 00 64 Same as a 560SEL.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the input Sixto!

I just checked the files in the W124 CD:

Program\Engine\602_603\05-437.pdf
Program\Engine\602_603\01-2400hx.pdf

It seems that the name of the hydraulic pump is "pressurized oil pump" and it could be the same for 601, 602, and 603 engines. The tandem pump is called "pressurized oil pump/tandem pump".

Of course, it doesn't mention anything about the 616 or 617 engines because the CD is all about the W124, not the W123.

It looks identical.

Talking Thank you!!!

I've just confirmed through a really old post by stevebfl that the pump is indeed the same across so many models. Simply amazing.

Here's the link: 16v supension self leveling

Thanks again to Sixto for pointing me to the right part number which allowed me to Google and find the confirmation.

I can rest now. I'll begin the hunt for the SLS pump / pressurized oil pump later today.
