Nothing like a good old Italian Tune up

Ahhhh yes....
She idles smoother already! The amount of black smoke coming out was enough for the Mini Cooper Convertible to move 3 lanes out of the way! She feels rock solid at this speed too!

Got a little warm...

I averaged somewhere around there on the way back from Valdosta to Atlanta late at night with no cars around. Average recorded speed on GPS for that segment was 107mph. The car ran really smooth after that and I was actually afraid I blew the engine it was so smooth.

Yeah, always when you go over 100, but the instant I let off the throttle, she comes right back down to 81-82.

Says the guy with the A6. I know you've probably hit triple digits yourself in that thing.

I rarely find speed offensive at all (in a Mercedes), my 98 e300 gets a run beyond that every now and then, but I always wonder who's taking the picture...? :scholar:

98 E300

I was kidding :) I have a pic somewhere of my SDL at around the same speed :)

dmorrison 10-11-2006 01:45 AM

Was it the photo or were you signalling for a left turn at that speed.

I've had my sd up in that neighborhood a few times. I'm always amazed at how these cars feel at high speeds.

When people are riding with me, (esp.. when that idoit let me borrow his 06 porsche 911 turbo, modded out) and i am going over +120 people say
you didn't use your signal
I wouldn't have a license if a cop saw me anyway.
Can you imagine a 18yo guy's insurance after getting a ticket at 140?
