Question Door locks cycle between lock & unlock

The trunk pump works, but it never stops. It locks and unlocks the doors constantly. I have disconnected it so I won't drain my battery. I also worked the key in all the locks in case the sensor was stuck with no difference.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks, first time poster, but I love this site!
Rich

If you do have it isolated to the trunk....

I would troubleshoot the electrical side of the trunk lock mechanism (resistance, continuity, flaky switch contacts etc.) Also, check out the screws that mount the air unit, loosen them slightly so that the box moves a few milimeters when it actuates, in a few rare cases this seems to work.

So this one looks like this 1982 W126.120 Chassis came with M617.951 Engine and is a 300SD "Turbodiesel"

I just checked at: Vacuum Diagrams
and there does not appear to be a diagram for the W126 cars' door lock systems... you know the one with the electric pump in the spare tire well... the vacuum door lock system that canNOT adversely degrade the vacuum brake system if there is a major vacuum failure in the door lock system.

Q - Does anyone know where we can find such a diagram to help us diagnose and thus give "dakarm34" some help with his problem?

Sam

now working on opening driver door from inside

I took apart the driver door to replace the window motor and mechanism, I put it all back together, and the window works great! I go for a drive and goto open the door, no dice. The mechanism moves, but evidently something behind the sheetmetal shadows is not working anymore. So I've paused my door locking/unlocking problem to focus on getting out of my car without looking ghetto.

Sorry about the missing signature, I hope I don't get kicked off this forum! I bought the car as an experiment - to test biodiesel on. I haven't made my first batch, but I'm getting my stuff ready. The car was sitting in a field for 5 years, I bought it from a co-worker who lives in Surry County. He drove it for many years, and got fed up with the stupid things breaking. The motor was rebuilt 60k miles ago, it now has 276k. There was a mouse in the trunk when I opened the spare tire lid, a snake skin in the dash, no lie! The rear window leaked so I had to gut her, power wash and odor gone the interior, it's not perfect, but it does smell better.

Thanks

Here's pics of her now

A good power wash x3 with purple power, some parts and pulling the entire interior has done her some good.

As you can tell I have many BMWs. I work on all my cars, and rebuilt on purpose the motor in my 87 325 last winter. This car is an experiment, I was really only hoping that the motor ran. I got it started 2 days after having it towed home. The original diesel is still in the car, I haven't burned it all out yet. I know, I should pull the tank, but it was almost full. I put in the diesel clean with some additive, it runs fine, and I know it will run better once I get fresh fuel in her.
The plan was to use the motor just to test my biodiesel mix. I never thought the car would drive. The day I started it I drove it around the neighborhood with no problem. I've driven it once a week now, so I guess I'll be driving it more.
I didn't want to have a newer car and run biodiesel in it just in case I got the mix wrong. If I blew up the motor in say a new VW or MB I'd be pissed at myself. I have under $1,500 in the car, and it's okay.
