I recently replaced all the glowplugs and the preglow relay on my 87 190D 2.5 Turbo. I expected the car to start easier and with less smoke, but that hasn't been the case. It turns over OK and then sputters to life with a decent sized cloud of smoke. And it isn't that cold outside yet.

Once the car warms up, it stops smoking.

Any ideas on what else to check? Thanks.
