"lead-In" on Sockets?

Anyone else notice that the "lead-in" on some sockets is far to much?

I'm talking about the handy little (sometimes) angle they put in to help get the tool over the nut (or bolt, whatever...) I've run into cases where the damn clearance they give you is half the bolt itself. I dont know about you; but I like as much area connected to the bolt as possible.

I noticed this when I was taking off a (23 year old) o2 sensor off my gasser. I HAD to run to my shop (lathe handy) and turn the face off, because it would just slip off every time.
