Oil pressure drops and car will not move?

83' 300D when drivibg the quil pressure usually stays peged at 3, but here lately the oil pressure drops to 2 and the car will run , however, it will not move? So I sit there with the idling for 5mins then it builds ups and drives off?

Say What???????

You did not say what your oil level was.

What is the fluid level of the transmission?

After trying to read that mess....

How warm is the engine when the oil pressure drops down to 2 on the gauge?

The oil pressure might drop if the idle speed dropped at the start of this event. If no rpm increase at all by giving it pedal you might just be starving for fuel. Your five minute wait perhaps is required for the supply to restore itself. Just a guess but I would maybe suspect the lift pump or at least monitor for fuel pressure. Even the fuel filter might be suspect. At least get out of the car and have a look at your pre filter while it is happening. You may or may not see anything unusual. This is interesting enough that I hope you post what it was when you find it.
