After 14 months car finally painted
I finally got it painted after 14 months of on and off work. The car is my 85 300D. The color is 1978 Marine Blue. It started out silver. I have before pics but they are taken at 5.1 megapixel and I dont know how to shrink them.

Looks amazing!
Ken, that looks amazing! Now can you start in the 6.9
I'm about ready to start painting my 1970 Rover P6 and have a bunch of questions. All the best

I have decided that the 6.9 will be next. Looking at my pics, I should have cleaned my garage first. The paint is PPG. 3 coats of base and 2 coats of clear. A little dust in the paint that I need to decide to live with or wet sand out and buff. I have to touch up one door jam where my taping wasn't good, I have 4 hub caps to paint, and there are two color matched trip pieces I forgot to paint. Hopefully Saturday I get get the rest done.

Paint job
The job looks pretty great today. I've already bought paint for the Rover in single stage but the original colour. For the MGB I chose a Mazda red that looks about as red as you can get in a base/clear.
Both paints are Sherwin's western brand because I got a 40% employee discount. I'm a little concerned about painting in my garage / basement because I may blow the house up if the furnace kicks in or poison the dogs with the fumes creeping into the house. I'm also a little concerned about painting now that the weather has turned a little colder. That said, i'm very very impressed with your work.

Talk to your paint rep there are thinners to compensate for cooler wheather. One nice thing about being cold is you get lots of time to work without the paint starting to dry too fast.
