That is the *only* sports grille I've ever seen on a w123 that looks decent. It's most likely the combination of the wrapped grille support and *real* Mercedes grille being used.

I don't see the problem with that car, to be honest-- It isn't as if it's a classic, rare, beautiful car to begin with... It's two flippin' bricks stacked on one another with wheel arches cut-- the definition of class and style....

Lighten up, it's just metal and plastic bits with windows and rubber doughnuts to roll on.

Too much plastic, not enough metal. Sorry, but it still looks like it was designed by a 12-year old.

Not my cup of tea, but the use of the SEC grille is interesting. I wonder how they deal with the headlights being partially covered.

Has anybody actually seen this grill mounted on a W123? I have seen pictures of the grille alone all over the place, but never one on a car.

The one on the site posted uses a real SEC grille, does it not?

I liked how it really updated the front of the car, it was wider and as someone said already, partially obscured the fog lights. Looks a bit like the new Caddy designs with big grilles and little rectangles turned on-end for the lighting stacks.

Some may remember, the 116 and 123 are the cars that broke that tradition--

I still like it-- Wouldn't work on a diesel sedan, but on a 230CE/280CE manual it'd be a nice look.

Not this grille:

This one:

There is a DISTINCT difference, if you'd bother to look. This is NOT a po-dunk grille redesign, they used a real SEC grille. It does look quite nice compared to the upright framed sedan grilles with a star in the center and a redundant hood ornament sticking up.

The car is a bit too upright for such a rakish grille treatment, though-- it does sort of end up looking a bit like a new Caddy mixed with a w123, but at any rate--

It is NOT your average run-of-the-mill tacky looking sports grille-- this one is so many rungs above that.

Nothiing says "ricer" more than putting spoilers on a car (240D) that couldn't go fast enough to generate any downforce from them.

Well I can't leave iNeon all alone, I have a 123 and an SEC and I like the SEC grill on the 123 coupe.

ahh lighten up. You dont like anything but what came out of the factory. You dont like wvo kits, you dont like (imo) cool looking AMG body kits.

Sheesh! if jesus christ was to come down to earth and meet you id bet you say "ehh i dont like your long hair"

That's right. Maybe we should put all the old AMG body kits on the remaining WVO cars, that would solve two problems at once.
