Lip spoiler on W123?

I have been kind of throwing around the idea of one of these M3 style lip spoilers on the 240D, The website lists the W123 one at 47", but I measured the trunk at 54" (the one they have for the W126 is 54"). Has anyone tried one of these? Any thoughts, I think it would look subtle, just not to sure because I have never seen one on a W123, only the W124.
Thanks
-Zach

You can find Zender spoilers readily on ebay.de and occasionally here in the states.
BBS also made them. Body kit manufacturers are Kamei, RGA, AMG, BBS, Zender and Lorinser. Look on http://www.speurders.nl/ for some front spoilers. Average price for rear lip in states is about $80-100.

The ones I saw on E-bay went fo about 45$ shipped, and I have heard that the quality is acceptable. (rubber, so it will flex to the shape of the trunk)
Anyone ever seen one of these M3 lips on a W123.
Thanks winmutt, the site had some nice pics, just kinda confusing.

yes those $40 aren't spec'ed for the car, they just "fit"

Are you having trouble with the rear wheels spinning too much under hard acceleration, or are you just looking for more rear down-force in the high speed corners?

I assume he's pulling your "leg" about the fender skirts.

Why? They are made.

The side skirts make it look better, I dont know about the rear.

Good question, what a waste of a nice car, that is one seriously ugly W123. Maybe they should paint some flames on it now.

Thats one of the crappier kits. Have you seen the AMG body kits? Those are fantastic. Especially for the wagon.

I don't see much point in arguing about taste, but IMHO none of these plastic kits are an improvement over stock. I've seen the AMG stuff, and while it is higher quality plastic, it still looks very tacky to me. Their body pieces would probably prevent me from buying a car unless I though I could easily toss them. Why does anyone want to make their benz look like a honda accord owned by a high school student?

Meh I'll take a front spoiler and lower pressure under the car any day. That makes for better handling. Not lip spoilers.
