Left rear seat belt wet

As the title states, one of my friends pulled out the LR seatbelt when we were going for a drive, and it was wet.

It had rained alot recently. Just checked the rear sunroof drains, theyre fine. I have a sedan.

Rear windshield seal maybe?

Thanks!
Patrick

Also, inside the trim over the area the seat belt comes out of, is a tube from the rear sunroof drain, check and make sure its not leaking onto the seatbelt retractor.

re

Already had checked the sunroof drains. Fine.

Yes there is a split directly under the drivers seat that I am going to fix soon. About 6" in length at which the two mated pieces of metal separate. Small hole formed as well.

Could that cause a wet seatbelt? I'm talking about the upper 3-point part that retracts into the headliner in back.
