IF anyone is interested...

... and IF this beastie is in Napa, CA as the ad implies, I might be able to see it before I leave town next Wednesday!

This was a standard body configuration that was not sold in the US. A dutch coachworks company specializes in these cars. I see them occasionally on some of the German websites.

Crappy paint job, took away from the MB class by painting all the bright work.

Needs thousands in work.

I don't understand it though, if you wanted to spend a lot of money on a nice MB to get driven around in. Whey stretch the base stripped model, when you can just purchase a 500SEL with the rear leg room built in?

Other then being unique its pretty pointless.

They were fairly popular in Europe. Possibly because they could be used in countries like Italy with tax penalties for larger engined cars. The Vatican had a fleet of 240D limo's if memory serves.

That car is in a league of its own, truely a work of art, and a timeless classic.

A Pullman would be a ride soooo fine. Maintaining it would be something else entirely.

Isn't it the Vatican it's own country?
