Shlomo: the Motion Picture

You can view the video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma1Z0gd2DTI

I was playing with the dv-cam and crawling under the car to check the front end, Youall have told me to do this plenty, but I just didn't see anything out-of-whack!

The steering damper is worn out, and just allows the steering to wander, which I'll get to eventually, but still-- Nothing under there seemed weird.

Camcorders are fun! Enjoy!

But but but....

But hes my friend! I love him!

Seriously though--Doesn't the car look nice on camera?!? And how about the soundtrack? I thought it fit ok.

The whole point was to get video of the blow-by test and the front-end in motion, the rest was just funning

Very nice job on the short film, I liked the whole thing. All I needed was the popcorn.

Bite your tongue!

I had the key turned for mother to be able to turn the steering whenever I was crawling around on the ground-- It was turned over in the glow position for quite a while(15 mins or so, had to jack up each side and remove the jack stands) whileever I did all that. I'm guessing that maybe the glow cycle turned itself off after that while, and I was trying to start a dead cold engine? Heh heh it ALMOST caught that first time!

The song is James-- Born of Frustration, same guy that sang Laid(another great track)

He does need work, but mostly on the alternator(used the wrong size bottom bolt, and the casing is oval now, instead of round...) brakes(they aren't power-assisted anymore and sound like they're dragging when you spin the tire when its jacked up) and the front alignment issue.

Poor Shlomo-- what he really needs(and what all of these old beasties need) is a rich owner-- I just can't pour money into a car anymore, been driving a point-and-shoot car lately while he sits and rots in the driveway
