OM602 and a valve job.
I took the valve cover off, expecting to see some way to adjust valve clearance.
Nope. I've only seen the guide on adjusting 616/617 valves - anyone have a link for the 60X series engines?

60X engines have those newfangled hydraulic lifters...

of coarse, I would be easier if I had some sort of book on the car...

does the car run smoothly? huge blowby could be a holed piston.
if so, ouch! lots of blow by cannot be anything good i dont think. and valve adjustment wont help i dont think. tom w

It lacks any sort of power, due to oil getting into the intake, and the fact that it has a restrictive muffler on it. The turbo isnt responding right - it dosnt "spool" until 3k, much later than it should. Exaust manifold and spooling side of the turbo get way hotter than it should be - sometimes even smoking. The car itself has very little rust, and most everything else works on it.
