Unhappy The loss of a Diesel Lover

Hello All,
This is a really sucky thing to say but my dad Dave Sidlauskas who's user name here was mattdave passed away October 27th unexpectedly at home.

He was a diesel convert and loved them with all of his heart. I am sure that he would want me to give thanks to all those who helped him with his exploits and to those who keep this site up and running.

Services will be held here in San Jose CA this coming Saturday. If local friends are interested in coming please IM or email me and I will send specifics.

--Matt

Link to his member profile.

That sucks. I'm lucky to still have my 80 year old grandparents and my dad turns 50 this month.

We will miss him. He was a great member of the Diesel and Mercedes world.

Matt, I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. And you both came by for headlights or something a little before then, too.

I was going through my speed dial entries on Friday and said to myself that Dave's number is a good one to keep. Sigh...

My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I don't spend a lot of time here, but I do remember your dad. My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.

Matt, sorry to hear the news. Your dad was great to deal with on the parts I sourced through him. He mentioned his health had complications but I was unaware of its severity. I too will miss his presence on the forum.

I guess it would be good to know at least one W115 is more complete due to his resourcefulness.

My condolances to you and your family Matt.
I just read a topic of him concerning a 6.9, and found the above line. Although I didnt know your father, I am sure it was a nice guy, with the right spirit.

Matt-

This is horrible news- I am so sorry. He will be missed here and with those he knew.

He was always on the lookout for rust-free junk to add to my fleet....
