By-pass oil filter.
VNT turbo.
Reinstall outside door trim.
Replace left-rear wheel bearings.
Get the sunroof working.
New rear tires.

Everything is in great shape, I just need to take care of a few nit-picky things and do a few performance enhancements.

Fix/replace my rear passenger door that was damaged almost 3 years ago, and the trim/rust issue on the rear fender behind that door (also caused by the damage) Once that's done and I do some paint touchup from being key'd etc...my car will look pretty nice! Also I'll probably do an oil change in a month or so, I am nearing the 5k mark on my synthetic oil....

I plan on

doing the following:

Brakes all around
New paint (and replace dented front fender)
Oil change(s)
Possible water pump
Possibe turbo tweak
Possible cruise repair
Trans fluid change
Toward spring, AC upgrade

Right now the car runs great but has bad paint so the appearance isn't great, otherwise I'm ready for another 300K

And the adventure continues....

G'mornin' Folks,

As this particular Benz is new to me, I am still getting the initial maintenance done....

Change out break fluid.....may do today...
Renew Glow Plugs.....reamer and glow plugs due here tomorrow....
Replace front brake discs.....also due here tomorrow.....
Valve Lash.....
Replace Injector leak lines.....
Diesel Purge....
Replace Turbo "U" tube seals.....
Lamp up shifter.....
Free Up Hirchmann Antenna....upper 1/3 or so...frozen...
Change Power Steering oil and filter.....
Troubleshoot and repair Kruze Kontroll....works intermittently.....
Re-attach rear impact strip.....one side.....impact strip holder due tomorrow...

As I am retired, I only get paid once a month.....so am anxiously awaiting this month's parts.....all due tomorrow...

Car will get indoors in warm spot next week......intend doing Valve Lash, Glow Plugs, Leak Lines...all at same time....should not have to screw around with the FI HP pipes more than once.....then an oil change after initial test, and assumption that engine will not be reopened in awhile.....
Brake Discs....later the same day...or nexr day...depending on how first jobs go.....

My 300D is in pretty good shape, could use a paint job, and a rear window seal......mechanically, so far like a Swiss watch......

SB

After two years, and a LOT of $$$, Sybill the SDL is almost done, only need to install a radio, fix the antenna and slip in some shifter bushings. But, I will need to figure out some way to install a hitch on that SDL before I pull the wagon out of service....

Lilly the 330D is getting a new (not foam) hood pad. Somthing is wacky with this car because it seems to be missing on one cylinder at idle and is not nearly as peppy as it once was. May just need new fuel filters and a set of injectors (almost 300k on the originals).

With Lilly and Sybill running, Marlene the TD is finally going to get the 5-speed from the Euro installed, a new evap, a compressor and spiffy R-12 refigerant to (hopefully) offset the heat sink factor of her maroon paint.

Before going to my Daughter as a late graduation gift, the Euro will get a 4-speed in place of the fiver, a head job and some body and paint work. Once she has the Euro, my beloved 115 will be back in the fold.

This winter

My new accumulators arrived today! They should go on the car...today. Also going to change the suspension fluid filter and flush the system. Waiting to see if this improves rear ride height.

Also-
Replace rear spring shims (maybe springs as well?)
Replace front shocks
Find vac leak in door lock system
Check heat shields on two leaking injectors
Replace rigid fuel lines
Bodywork - rust is creeping into wheelwells, doors, and tailgate

If things go well, heated secondary fuel system for veg oil

Nothing on the Benz... its all winterized and ready to bust through some snow drifts. I already have the snow tires on...which I think was a little premature on my part.

The current hobby car (Austin Mini) will get a new timing chain & sprocket set and a new timing cover oil seal along with a quick overhaul of its 1.5 SU Carb....and she will be good to do some cruising next spring again.
