New oil spot on my driveway

Went out this morning to warm the 300d up for Kelly and noticed a trail of oil spots heading up the driveway to a nice sized puddle under the right rear of the car.

Turns out she had accidently hoped the right rear tire over a curb at a pretty good speed and blew out the shock. Not a big deal, but this morning she reported a noise, a low squeeking noise, when she make left turns.

I'm thinking something might be bent.
or perhaps a bearing.

any bets on what it might be?

Since the shock is busted it may just be sitting lower than normal and rubbing. The suspension on these cars are very durable. I rarely sell any suspension pieces other than cv shafts.

Swap the rear shocks right for left and see if the squeaking happens when making right turns

If it's a Bilstein it might qualify for lifetime warranty.

Brer.....is she sure it was just the right rear making contact with the curb?
It was'nt the right front and rear?
At least she owned up to it.....not the like the commercial about "bluffing" where the wife claims a meteor hit the car......

I'm pretty sure it was just the rear.
The amount of oil all over the rear area look like the thing exploded.

I thought it was the rear diff. for a seoncd, untill I smelled the oil.

And yes she's honest about her goofs. I explained the importance of imitating odd noises accurately when describing problems to me. And she listens to car talk, so that helps.
