By-Pass Primer on a 240d?
 

I have an 82 240d that causing me some grief. It seems to be sucking air and I have concluded that it is probably the leaky primer. I have ordered a new one (not one available in my Town) but I don't expect it for a couple of days. This is my daily driver so I would like to know if it is possible to by-pass the primer? Temporarily of course.

I have searched the forum and not seen anything on this. Great site!
