Is the Temperature Wheel supposed to be Illuminated??

If so, how do you get to the bulb...WITHOUT....disturbing a perfectly functional 21yo Klima Kontrol......???

Thanx,

You have to remover the wood trim, by gently prying it off. Then there are several screws in the black plastic thats behind the trim that need to be removed. Then the plastic will come off, and the Climate Contol unit will come out. Then you will see where the bulbs are.

The housing that the bulb goes into may have popped out of the part that lights up the wheel, or the bulb my have burned out. It only takes a few minutes to get into it and find out what the problem is.

Get into it and pull the bulb housing out of the CCU and turn the lights on. If it doesn't light up its a bad bulb.

Yes, it is internally illuminated, and makes a big difference when it is working. Removing the unit is not difficult at all. I would replace all the bulbs in the unit as long as you are there.

Finding the mirrored ones for the spiders is tricky, don't bother starting until you get your hands on them. Wasn't available at pepboys, az or adv auto.

Never did find the frosted ones at the local places. I waited until I had a big order, and got them from Phil.
